Two Desperados

Unlocking more value from an established portfolio
Since going live, Metica has generated substantial incremental ad revenue across Nonogram Crossing and Marble Shooter: Viola's Quest. Portfolio-wide uplift was up to 23%.
What makes the result particularly significant is how little Two Desperados needed to change. Metica integrated directly with the studio's existing AppLovin MAX setup. No additional networks were introduced, and there was no negative impact on the player experience.
Instead, Metica improved how each auction was run and how floor prices were set, using real-time player, device and market signals to make decisions at the user and session level.
Metica has delivered strong results across our portfolio, and we are excited to see how much further we can grow our ad revenue. Advertising plays an important role in our hybrid monetisation strategy, so achieving this level of uplift within our existing setup is particularly valuable. The Metica team has also been excellent to work with. They are responsive, hands-on and closely engaged throughout the rollout.

A straightforward path to growth
In-app bidding made mobile game monetisation simpler, but it also removed much of the direct pricing control publishers previously had. Two Desperados wanted to get more from AppLovin MAX without introducing another layer of manual work or operational complexity.
Metica operates directly on top of MAX, continuously optimising each auction within the existing mediation environment. A live holdout compared Metica-enabled traffic with an untreated control group, allowing the incremental impact to be measured from the start.
The rollout began with Nonogram Crossing and quickly expanded across iOS and Android for both live titles. Within approximately five weeks, the full participating portfolio was live.
From learning phase to sustained uplift
Performance improved as Metica completed its initial learning phase. Portfolio uplift began at 6.9% and accelerated from there.
For five consecutive weeks, Two Desperados generated approximately 17% to 23% more ad revenue across the portfolio.
Nonogram Crossing became the largest value driver, while Viola's Quest demonstrated that the same approach could deliver results across another title and on both major mobile platforms.
Building on an already successful portfolio
Two Desperados had already created a strong foundation through player-focused game design, disciplined live operations and a portfolio with global reach. Metica added another layer of growth by helping the studio generate more value from its existing audience and monetisation infrastructure.
That additional revenue gives Two Desperados greater scope to invest in user acquisition, reach more players and scale successful titles, without having to introduce more networks or rebuild its existing mediation setup.
Two games. Two platforms. Five consecutive weeks of 17% to 23% uplift. All achieved within Two Desperados' existing network stack.
